Fashion Belle Modest Sewing Patterns

(Screenshot is from the original "Is This Modest?" blog.) Among modest fashion blogs that were online when Fashion Belle began reviewing them in 2010, "Is This Modest?" was one of the most extensive. It stood apart from other modest fashion blogs in that it was written primarily by a husband and father in his early 30s who came from a fundamental Christian background, with his wife and other females as occasional guest authors.

February to May of each year is when my job as an enforcer of a professional dress code for high school students goes into action. Pictured are several illustrations that I prepared to be put into the instructions to help students such as those in past years who have failed to read the dress code and brought clothing that is inappropriate.

Mainstream fashion favors modesty on occasion, and the one-piece swimsuit styles enjoying the current spotlight this season fill that description. The trend began, as trends often do, with celebrities who were photographed in various styles of one-piece swimwear. Designers responded by increasing the number of one-pieces they sent down the runway for Spring/Summer 2013 collections. The trend is anticipated to continue for several more years, as it did the last time one-pieces enjoyed a resurgence in the late 1990s.
